My practice is an investigation of perception and impression by exploring the formal relationships between form and line, text and culture, art and philosophy. Mine is an ongoing archeology of media and materials, theory and concept, subject matter and composition using book art, printmaking, letterpress and painting. My objective is to pursue lines: lines of text to prompt curiosity, lines like sutures or botanical gestures to create myths, lines like fissures to subvert comfort. My print art is a passionate endeavor--I appreciate the democracy of editions, love the power of language, and am wild for wood, paper and sticky ink.
